Justice for Palestine, formed in 2008 following the Israeli assault on Gaza, is a community-based initiative committed to education, advocacy, and solidarity organizing for Palestinian human rights and a just peace. In the past two years, as violence in Gaza has escalated and global calls for accountability have grown, we have expanded our work through teach-ins, cultural events, vigils, and policy-focused campaigns. Coordinated by the Syracuse Peace Council, we bring together members of local faith communities, student organizations, and social justice groups.

Take Action
Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza, alongside continued home demolitions, land seizures, and forced displacement in the West Bank including neighborhoods such as Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan, are part of a long-running project of ethnic cleansing and settler colonialism across Palestine. Despite unimaginable loss, Palestinians continue to resist with courage, community care, and unwavering commitment to their homeland. For decades, the U.S. has provided military, financial, and diplomatic support enabling this violence. In solidarity with the ongoing movement for Palestinian freedom and the global call to end complicity, we in the U.S. have a responsibility to speak out, organize, and take action where we are.
